Education Foundation
The Fremont Education Foundation focuses on providing experiences
for our district students that might be beyond the reach
of the normal school budget. We search for ways to assist
the staff with innovative teaching methods, preferably ones
that will encourage student creativity. KidsKards note cards
fit right in to our theme. It allowed us to promote the students
themselves, while raising funds for our various projects.
The flexibility allowed us to create variety packs of cards
from submitted student art, as well as offer the program
to any student who wanted their personal art reproduced.
Our district covers grades K-8, so we elected to offer
two different variety packs. One featured work from grades
K-3,
the other grades 4-8. There was a noteable difference in
the maturity of the work produced by each group, thereby
making each assortment attractive to all families. We featured
the variety packs on a color-copied order form, and printed
a personal order form on the back side for individual student
work. Even younger siblings were able to participate! Students
created their own birthday cards to send to their friends.
We were so happy with the proofs that we also ordered additional
quantities of each variety pack shrink wrapped with a cover
card so that we could offer them at school events. Since
we did our fund raiser late in the school year, we promoted
the cards as ideal end-of-the-year teacher gifts and Mother's
Day presents.
The best part is that you can always order more!
